Mechanical Designer

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Designer to reinforce our team within the Danieli Centro Tube area, specialized in the design and implementation of complex plants for seamless and welded tube mills.

Workplace:
Cinisello Balsamo (MI) - 100% On-site

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer you will:

• Support in the pre-sales phase and development of innovative solutions.
• Read and interpret technical specifications, reference documentation, company and international standards.
• Size and design machines and plants for the steel industry.
• Select and size gearboxes, actuators, bearings, seals, and other commercial components.
• Define construction materials.
• Create detailed drawings, define tolerances, fits, materials, and finishes.
• Prepare and update BOMs according to company standards.
• Coordinate internal and external design activities, and provide technical support during commissioning and testing.
• Technical oversight of purchasing and support the production team.

Technical Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and use of Inventor 3D and AutoCAD 2D, as well as the Office suite;
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design;
• Background in the steel industry or similar sectors;
• Good command of both Italian and English;
• Availability for occasional short business trips.
