BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

The WFP Wellness and Culture Division provides guidance, analytical expertise, policies, tools and hands-on support to managers, teams and individual employees to improve working and living conditions, to foster a culture of health and well-being and a respectful and inclusive workplace. This is achieved by managing occupational health risks, by offering an evidence-based, quality controlled and integrated medical, psychosocial and insurance services to employees and their families, and by nurturing trust in clients through professionalism and confidentiality.

Through this holistic approach, WFP aims at enabling all employees to take charge of their health, supported by a robust infrastructure that promotes wellness at all levels of the organization, and to enhance their overall engagement, resilience, and performance, thereby contributing to the organization's mission of ending global hunger.

To support the coordination of various cross-functional workstreams related to the definition and establishment of a corporate Duty of Care accountability, risk and operational framework, as well as the related socialization and communication aspects. While hosted by the Wellness and Culture Division, this role will work closely with the Assistant Executive Director, Workplace & Management Department, the AED's Front Office and Global Functional Divisions discharging WFP's Duty of Care.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Support the Chair of the Duty of Care and Inclusion Committee (DoC-I) with performance of secretariat services such as drafting timely and accurate information, preparing briefings, and conducting research to guide strategies and plans. Facilitate meetings, capture action items, and follow up on progress to ensure tasks are completed on time. Support the Chair of the Duty of Care and Inclusion Committee (DoC-I) with the coordination of activities related to the design, development and implementation of Duty of Care and Inclusion strengthening and mainstreaming initiatives, including preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation (such as project plans, status reports, and meeting notes) and assisting in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal and external audiences. Coordinate with various stakeholders to gather inputs and ensure project requirements are accurately captured and addressed. Develop and manage project communication plans to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with communications teams to visually convey duty of care standards and responsibilities, promoting cross-functional coherence and ensuring employees are treated with dignity to minimize work-related risks and impacts. Assist in the training of Respect+ facilitators and rollout of the programme globally. Lead Respect+ sessions upon request, especially in Spanish speaking contexts. Assist in promoting and implementing the "Team Support Programme" global rollout. Any other related duties.

Education:

  • University degree in Knowledge Management, Information Management, Business Management, Social Sciences, Learning or other relevant field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • The ability to conduct comprehensive research. This includes gathering insights into the experiences and challenges faced by employees, particularly in high-stress, high-risk environments.
  • Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information with a variety of individuals.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing qualitative data to identify key areas for intervention and support, and to produce detailed reports is necessary.
  • Communication and Collaboration: The role requires strong communication skills to develop storytelling strategies using several formats and to collaborate effectively with various teams. It also involves promoting coherent cross-functional collaboration.
  • Good attention to detail in order to identify data discrepancies.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions and customer relations with courtesy and tact.
  • Preferably experience and knowledge in working with organizational culture strengthening activities.

Language:

Fluency (level C) in English and Spanish language is required.

Intermediate knowledge (level B) of additional UN languages is an asset: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and/or WFP's working language, Portuguese.
