Campari Group IT department is at a key development stage moving from a back-office function to pivot into a business partnering function, leading the technology agenda across the business with the objective to drive our business growth for the years to come. This represents an extremely exciting time to join Campari IT and Campari Group. Campari IT function is organized around Global & Regional/Local layers, the Enterprise Architecture & Technology team, the Global Service Delivery Team and five Center of Expertise (CoE) – Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance & HR & Legal, Governance & PMO, Enterprise Analytics and Data Science.

The IT CoE competency centers (CoE-Center of Expertise) are accountable for the development of an IT strategy for their functional area aligned to the overall Campari business objectives and requirements for business capabilities.

General Description of the Role

The role is focused on supporting the Global IT Manager Integration and EDI in the day-to-day management, evolution, and operational excellence of Campari's EDI integration platform. The position plays a key role in executing the transformation from legacy systems to modern EDI architecture and ensuring seamless B2B integration with trading partners worldwide. The EDI Sr Specialist:

  • Supports the management and evolution of the Campari EDI Platform (Tibco BusinessConnect)
  • Actively contributes to the EDI platform migration from Opentext to Tibco BusinessConnect, ensuring business continuity and minimal disruption
  • Implements EDI standards, best practices, and operational procedures in alignment with enterprise integration strategy
  • Is responsible for the hands-on design, implementation, and support of SAP EDI-related transactions and integrations
  • Serves as a technical expert for EDI protocols, standards (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, etc.), and B2B partner onboarding
  • Collaborates with the Integration Platform Lead to ensure EDI platform alignment with overall integration strategy and roadmap

Key Responsibilities and Activities

EDI Platform Management & Operations

  • Supports the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Tibco BusinessConnect platform
  • Executes platform configurations, deployments, and technical implementations as directed by the Integration Platform Lead
  • Participates in the migration project from Opentext to Tibco BusinessConnect, handling technical migration tasks including message conversions, testing, and cutover activities
  • Monitors platform performance and proactively identifies issues requiring attention
  • Maintains EDI platform technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational procedures
  • Participates in platform health checks and contributes to technical debt remediation activities
  • Supports evaluation and testing of new EDI platform capabilities and features

SAP EDI Integration

  • Designs and implements EDI integrations for SAP transactions, including order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes (ORDERS, DESADV, INVOIC, ORDRSP, etc.)
  • Works closely with SAP platform teams to coordinate EDI-related integrations and resolve technical issues
  • Develops and maintains SAP IDoc configurations and mappings for EDI transactions
  • Identifies opportunities to improve SAP EDI integration patterns and streamline processes
  • Ensures data quality and process efficiency in SAP EDI flows

Trading Partner Management & B2B Integration

  • Executes trading partner onboarding activities, including connectivity setup, message mapping configuration, and testing coordination
  • Serves as technical contact for trading partners regarding EDI connectivity and message exchange issues
  • Implements trading partner connectivity following established standards and requirements
  • Supports coordination with business stakeholders on trading partner requirements and priorities
  • Ensures technical compliance with trading partner specifications and industry EDI standards

Collaboration & Support

  • Reports to and collaborates closely with the Integration and EDI Platform Lead on platform strategy and evolution
  • Works with Global Service Delivery teams to ensure smooth handover of EDI implementations to operations
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to project teams implementing EDI integrations
  • Supports troubleshooting and resolution of EDI-related technical issues
  • Communicates technical status and implementation progress to the Integration Platform Lead and stakeholders

Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Identifies and proposes opportunities to automate EDI processes and reduce manual interventions
  • Implements monitoring and alerting configurations to proactively identify EDI issues
  • Contributes to EDI platform performance metrics and reporting
  • Stays current with EDI industry trends, emerging standards, and technology innovations
  • Shares knowledge and contributes to building EDI capability within the integration team

Experience & Education

  • 4-6 years of proven hands-on experience in EDI integration, B2B messaging, and trading partner management
  • Strong technical experience with Tibco BusinessConnect platform (configuration, administration, and message development)
  • Experience with Opentext EDI platforms highly desirable for supporting the migration project
  • Solid knowledge of EDI standards including EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, and industry-specific message formats
  • Proven hands-on experience with SAP EDI integrations, including IDoc configuration, ALE/EDI setup, and SAP EDI transactions (SD/MM modules)
  • Experience participating in EDI platform migrations or transformation projects
  • Knowledge of EDI protocols and connectivity methods: AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, VAN connectivity
  • Experience with mapping tools and technologies (XSLT, EDI mapping engines)
  • Understanding of supply chain and order-to-cash/procure-to-pay business processes
  • Experience working in a multi-national environment with globally distributed trading partners
  • Familiarity with API-based B2B integration approaches and emerging EDI standards (e.g., Peppol, e-invoicing)
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar)
  • Knowledge of integration architecture principles and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for EDI platform deployments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Relevant certifications (Tibco BusinessConnect, EDI Professional, ITIL) are a plus
  • Fluent English is required; Italian or another European language is a plus
