Field Service Cybersecurity Engineer

If you are a Field Service Engineer with a focus on Cyber Security and OT Networking looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact. You will support our customers by delivering maintenance activities, incident resolution, technical support, system upgrades, warranty services, training, and configuration or modifications. You will also provide on-call services as needed. As part of our Lifecycle Services team based in Seregno, you will help customers improve security, reliability, and performance using the latest technologies in process automation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform system maintenance tasks and conduct performance evaluations.
• Provide technical support to customers, lead investigations, and recommend solutions.
• Deliver remote technical assistance (phone, internet) for system architecture and troubleshooting.
• Participate in on-call shift-based services and emergency call-outs to ensure fast and efficient customer support.
• Assist in design studies, hardware and software upgrades, and modifications.
• Support project activities at customer sites, including system installation and application programming.
• Provide on-site customer training for Emerson products.
• Stay current with the latest technologies and products relevant to your role.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• A degree in engineering, networking, computing, or electronics control and instrumentation (or equivalent practical experience).
• Knowledge of IT/OT networking, cyber security, virtualization, programming software, operating systems, Active Directory, patch management, backup, and recovery.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Extensive knowledge of network architectures, administration, core infrastructure components, wireless technology, and fieldbus systems.
• Experience with start-up and commissioning in process automation.
• Familiarity with network architecture, DCS systems, and field implementation.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Italy and occasionally internationally.
• Availability for non-office hours, including weekends, to support customers and perform call-out services.
• Associate-level certification for services performed on-site.
• Understanding of control and instrumentation theory, including control loop configuration.
• Knowledge of Emerson Process Management and Process Systems and Solutions products.
• Experience with automation and control systems in process industries (typically 2–4 years).
• Valid driver's license preferred.
