Field Service Engineer

If you are a Field Service Engineer looking for a hands-on role where you can work directly with customers and advanced measurement technology, this position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and make an impact. Based in Seregno (Milan Area) and reporting directly to the Field Instrument Service Coordinator, the Field Service Engineer performs activities necessary for the installation, testing, commissioning, and technical support of Emerson instrumentation at customer sites. All work will be carried out in compliance with Emerson's safety and quality standards, ensuring reliable performance and customer satisfaction. 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: 

• Install, commission, and maintain Emerson Measurement Solutions instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level, and flow sensors) at customer sites.
• Provide technical support and resolve customer issues related to process instrumentation (including sensors and electronic components).
• Perform calibration, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance on instrumentation.
• Conduct acceptance tests, installation, commissioning, fault analysis, and corrective work at customer sites.
• Carry out all activities according to Emerson guidelines, certifications, and MSOL standards.
• Provide emergency call-out services to deliver fast and efficient customer support.
• Travel frequently across Italy and occasionally abroad or offshore, with overnight stays when required.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to maintain satisfaction.
• Deliver customer training on Emerson instrumentation and applications.
• Adhere to Emerson's local and international trade compliance procedures in all transactions and business practices.
• Demonstrate full commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards by following safety practices, reporting incidents, completing mandatory training, and consistently using the Emerson Safety App.

You are a technically skilled and hands-on engineer with a proactive approach to fieldwork. You work well in a team, learn quickly, and can adapt to different environments, from chemical plants to refineries. You take pride in solving complex instrumentation challenges while upholding the highest standards of safety and compliance. With a solid engineering background, strong communication skills, and a readiness to travel, you build trust with customers and colleagues while staying resilient under pressure. You lead by example in promoting a positive safety culture, consistently using tools and participating actively in training, reporting, and incident prevention.

For This Role, You Will Need: 

• Degree or technical diploma in an Engineering field such as electronics, electrical, automation, instrumentation, or industrial IT.
• 1-3 years of practical experience in calibration, installation, and troubleshooting of process instrumentation.
• Knowledge of fundamental measurement principles (pressure, temperature, level, flow).
• Good communication skills and proficiency in Italian and English (spoken and written).
• Availability to work outside office hours and perform on-call services when required.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Italy and occasionally abroad or offshore, including overnight stays.
• Valid B driver's license.

• Experience in chemical plants or refineries is a strong plus.
