Position Overview / Summary):

The Field Service Engineer for DR and CR equipment, performs technical service and supportday-to day business on Agfa and 3rd party products and systems to customers.

This position performs technical support for Agfa NV imaging products. The employee will be based from home and will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of imaging equipment and associated ICT/electrical equipment.

The individual must be customer focused at all times, must be prepared to work alone and as part of a team, be able to interact well with colleagues, customers and third party trades in a professional and tactful manner, and in doing so present a positive image of the Company.

  • Home-based (travelling involved)

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Install and modify Agfa and 3rd party products (DR and CR)
  • Troubleshoot Agfa and 3rd party products, also repair and replace on-site and remotely
  • Assist R&D and HQ in problem solving and risk analysis
  • Train the customers
  • Escalate when necessary problems to 2nd and 3rd tier support
  • Service incidents documentation
  • Perform preventive/corrective maintenance on Agfa products
  • Assist internal and external customers (e.g. users, freelancers, colleagues from all business areas, HQ etc.) on-site and remotely on technical questions and issues
  • Identify opportunity for up-selling Agfa Services and Products and pass on upselling opportunities to sales as required
  • To manage return of equipment and parts in a compliant timely manner to company procedures

Who You Are (Qualifications):

  • University degree in Engineering / Electronics / Biomedical / Mechatronics or related
  • The ability to service mechanical and electrical devices together with cooperating computer software. Min. 3 years of previous experience in installing and maintaining medical devices/healthcare products and especially X-ray/DR systems.
  • Experience of networking and remote diagnosis software systems.
  • Experience of working safely with electromechanical systems.
  • Project Management skills could be a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to use initiative, strong self-motivation, the ease of communicating with people, willingness to daily travel on business.
  • Able to fault find basic electronics to component level and excellent analytical skills.
  • Good X-Ray/DR and Windows 7/10 knowledge.
  • Full driving license.
  • Languages: Italian (native speaker level) and English (at least B2 level), any other could be a plus
