We are looking for an Hardware Design Engineer.

What you will do:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and testing electronics for particle counting instrumentation. Your work will primarily focus on new product development, while also supporting sustaining engineering tasks as needed.

You will apply and expand a broad range of electronic engineering skills, ranging from digital design to precision analog circuitry, including microprocessor based systems, FPGA/SoC and industrial grade peripherals.

 As member of a cross-functional project team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation particle counters, working at the cutting edge of opto-mechanical and electronic sensing technologies.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and firmware engineers, supply chain specialists, production engineers, service technicians, and product line managers.

Additionally, you will be responsible for producing technical documentation such as design specifications, test reports, and other relevant engineering deliverables in compliance with quality internal standards and product development process.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
  • 2 + of experience in electronic hardware design.
  • Experience with microprocessor-based circuit design including interface design for memory (FLASH, DRAM) and peripheral components.
  • Experience interfacing DDR memory, SPI, I2C, and USB peripheral chips.
  • Proficiency with PCB design, bring up, and test processes.
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition is a plus
  • Design experience with SoC architectures such as Xilinx Zynq, i.MX6 or equivalent products..
  • Experience in FPGAs and SOC design and simulation  using VHDL or Verilog.
  • A solid understanding of low noise analog design, high speed digital circuits, and EMC/signal integrity.
  • Basis of analog circuit design including op amp circuits, and signal conditioning for ADC and DACs.
  • Experience using analog circuit simulators such as SPICE.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard electronic test equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes and function generators to test and troubleshoot boards.
  • Experience with DC/DC converter designs, and power sequencing circuitry.
  • Basic programming experience in C. working knowledge of Python, Labview, and/or C++ is a plus
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports, summarize data and create technical documents in accordance with internal standards and procedures.
