About the location:
Perched on a rocky promontory high above the Ionian Sea, the iconic San Domenico Palace welcomes you to a 14th-century convent reimagined. About the role
Oversee the daily operations of the Hotel's Breakfast Restaurant, ensuring a smooth and engaging service that consistently delivers an exceptional guest experience. Lead and support the team on the floor, maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
What you will do
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Breakfast team to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; daily activities and planning for outlet operation.
- The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for Guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Describe and ensure the quality and presentation of all breakfast items, ingredients, and preparation methods, while maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the menu and beverage offerings. Ensure service is delivered in an elegant and welcoming environment, creating a warm and distinctive breakfast experience for every guest.
- Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
What you bring
- College degree preferably specializing in Hotel/Restaurant management or equivalent experience is required.
- One to two years previous experience in a line, supervisory or Assistant Manager position in Food & Beverage.
- Requires a working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting.
- Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
- Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and italian languages.

Schedule & Hours:
- This is a full-time position
- The candidate must have a flexible schedule and work also on weekends and holidays.
This position is based at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina and the contract is seasonal. You must possess the legal right to work in Italy.
