This Position reports to:

Sales Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role you will have the opportunity to manage, develop and coach the Motion Large Motors Motors sales support team in Italy, aiding the sales organization in finding optimal solutions to meet customers' needs.

You will create, implement and review local sales strategies in line with the global strategy, you will define key targets for sales and customer support.

You will have also the opportunity to develop, implement, and manage the strategy for some account focusing on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will coordinate sales activities, monitor current projects, and manage the resolution of specific customer problems. You will also showcase your expertise by giving input on market price developments and tendencies.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Overseeing the creation of estimates, bids and proposals to ensure they are in line with ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
  • Ensuring that offers consider the market situation and customer conditions
  • Assigning resources for technical and commercial assistance, and preparing proposals to maintain excellent technical and commercial assistance for customers
  • Assisting the sales organizations during meetings with customers, product presentation and customer negotiations
  • Understanding the key business drivers, including significant and emerging business risks (e.g., sustainability/digital/efficiency) of the relevant global customer's business and business environment, translating them into the corresponding impacts and opportunities for ABB.
  • Monitoring customers' needs and competitors' offerings through market intelligence and insight from sales teams
  • Guiding, motivating, coaching and developing the skills and knowledge of the sales support team

Qualifications For The Role

  • 5 years of experience working in Sales and offer generation for engineered B2B products, preferably in Electrical Large Motors and Generators
  • Proficiency in offer configuration tools (Knowledge of Cuusamo platform is considered a plus), CRM system like Sales Force and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Management experience in sales and/or sales support, with a proven ability to anticipate customer needs and market trends
  • Advanced communication, influencing, coaching and management skills
  • Solid understanding of commercial and technical dynamics related to customized products.
  • Degree in Engineering field or equivalent qualification
  • Excellent communication skilld in Italian and English
