As part of our European expansion, we are looking for a sharp, commercially-minded intern to help us penetrate the Italian institutional landscape.
The Role: Relationship-Driven Business Development
In Italy, business is done between people, not just companies. Your role is to initiate these professional relationships and position Quantilia as a trusted technical partner for the country's most prestigious financial institutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Prospecting: Identifying and reaching out to decision-makers at Fondazioni Bancarie, Casse di Previdenza, and Italian insurance giants.
- Smart Cold Calling: Engaging in high-level outbound calls to secure discovery meetings. In this market, your goal is to transition quickly from a "cold" pitch to a sophisticated professional conversation.
- Lead Research & Mapping: Building a detailed database of the Italian "Asset Management" ecosystem, focusing on the top players in Milan and Rome.
- Assisting in High-Stakes Meetings: Supporting the Country Manager during demos and follow-up negotiations with Italian CIOs and Portfolio Managers.
- Marketing Localization: Helping adapt Quantilia's value proposition to resonate with the specific cultural and regulatory nuances of the Italian financial market (e.g., focus on ESG and risk transparency).
Your Profile: Professionalism & Persuasion
We seek a candidate who possesses "Sprezzatura"—the ability to handle complex sales challenges with grace and confidence.
- Communication: Sophisticated verbal and written skills in Italian. You must be adept at using the formal "Lei" while remaining engaging and persuasive.
- Language: Native-level Italian and professional fluency in English.
- Market Knowledge: A solid understanding of the Italian financial system, including the role of Assogestioni and the local pension fund landscape.
- Persistence: A resilient "hunter" instinct. You are comfortable making multiple touchpoints to reach a high-level executive.
- Academic Background: Currently pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance, Economics, or Management.
