We are looking for an entry-level
Service Engineer
to join our
Marine Automation team
. In this role, you will support our customers in troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning activities related to Valmet automation systems on board vessels. You'll work closely with senior engineers and gain hands-on experience both in the field and in our offices.

Key Responsibilities
- Support customers in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Valmet automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI).
- Participate in commissioning, retrofits, and system upgrades on board vessels.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Work on-site (onboard vessels) and in-office on the development and testing of automation applications.
- Provide service support for major cruise operators and other marine customers.
What We're Looking For
- Recent graduate in Automation, Electrical, or related Engineering field (or equivalent education).
- Basic understanding of automation systems (PLC, DCS, HMI).
- Problem-solving mindset, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
- Good command of English (Italian is a plus).
- Willingness to travel (up to 65% of working days), including onboard ships and international assignments
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to develop in a dynamic, international environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and learn from experienced colleagues.
