About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Milan. Working for an international design-and-build contractor, you will oversee all project phases from design through to handover, ensuring projects meet the highest technical, financial, and safety standards. This is a leadership role with responsibility for client relationships, team management, and overall project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main client contact, building and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
- Oversee all design, engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
- Manage contracts, budgets, risk, and financial performance of projects.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Engineers.
- Ensure strict compliance with legal, safety, and sustainability requirements throughout project execution.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- 10+ years' experience in large private-sector construction (EPC/EPCM).
- Proven track record delivering complex industrial or mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centres, logistics, or large industrial builds).
- Fluent in Italian and English.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
