BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
WFP has developed a self-service travel management platform WeTravel to replace its existing SAP-based travel expense module. During 2021/2022 this application was successfully rolled out to all of the WFP offices, while always undergoing further upgrades/corrections.
The consultant will be responsible for providing project management support to all of the ongoing activiteies associated with the WeTravel project. Working closely with the WFP Travel Manager, the individual will manage and supervise the project as described in the below responsibilities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the project, including project monitoring and evaluation, progress and leading staff of the project.
2.Supporting the integration of the Online Booking Tool with WeTravel, interacting with the travel agent and the OBT rollout manager as required.
3.
Co-ordinate the WeTravel activities (integration, communications) related to the HR Workday project to replace the existing SAP HR application.
4.Assist with the user support activities driven by questions/issues being raised, triggered by questions raised to WeTravel Support through WSS.
5.Oversee the finalization of WeTravel reporting functionality, including a management dashboard.
6.Interact with the WFP Technical division on all development matters, including planning, design and testing of new developments / system corrections. In particular, the Consultant will be responsible for managing the Travel team activities related to the SAP/4 Upgrade project.
7.Provide regular reports to various levels of WFP management describing project progress and escalating any issues requiring management attention.
8.Support for ad-hoc reporting requests from all units within WFP.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:

•Successful migration of all SAP-based travel functionality to SAP/4.

•Successful integration of WeTravel with WSS, the new OBT and Workday.

•Improved WeTravel functionality to better suit the needs of WFP offices world-wide

•A Travel reporting platform that meets the requirements of WFP offices world-wide
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
IT related degree
Experience:
More than 12 years of experience in the implementation of ICT solutions, BPR and change management.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in implementation, support and management for such exercises in international organizations
Languages:
English
