Procurement Specialist

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to support our Category Manager in day-to-day procurement activities. This role plays a key part in managing operational tasks, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth execution of procurement processes. Acting as a key link between Procurement, R&D, and Project Management, the ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and eager to contribute to the efficiency and success of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Category Manager in gathering quotations based on predefined requirements and R&D documentation
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards
- Manage requests for quotation (RFQs): issue requests, follow up on status, summarize results, and support the awarding process
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and update procurement databases
- Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, Project Management, Category Management) to clarify procurement needs and specifications
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues related to delays or quality concerns
- Participate in supplier audits and compliance reviews as required
- Support contract administration by coordinating documentation and approvals
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain support roles
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with procurement software and the MS Office suite
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel for business as needed
- High attention to detail and strong analytical mindset
