Your Role

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Testing Designer to join our R&D Team at Technogym Village (Cesena, Italy). In this role, you will be in charge of supporting design teams in ensuring the reliability of products/functional groups/components along their lifecycle on the field.  In addition to this, you will be responsible for designing and implementing tests aimed at verifying the reliability and functional requirements/performances of our products. 


The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mechanical design and/or investigation/experimental analysis/testing/validation of products, as well as know-how in the field of structural fatigue dimensioning of metal, light alloys plastics parts and able to perform analytical and numerical analysis (CAE/FEM). 

Your Impact Perform structural analysis and tests aimed to verify the reliability of our productsDefine mission profile, test acceptance criteria and test protocolsDefine Test and Experimental Plan for the validation of the productsPerform Failure Mode and Effects analysisDesign tests, test rigs/benches and run experimental data acquisitions to qualify loads, behavior, performances, reliabilityValidate products, systems, functional groups and componentsPropose and address possible solutions/changes to detected failures/weaknesses in order to bring products to safety, performance and effectiveness standardsUpdate the applicable standard references and related conformity testsKeep the validation plan in line with the product developmentTest progress monitoringDevelop parametric models/tools for various structural and mechanical analysis About You

What you should bring:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3-5 years of previous experience in mechanical testing and designKnowledge of materials mechanical properties and thermal treatments related propertiesKnowledge of methods and tools for the stress/strain experimental analysisKnowledge of Design of Experiments and Failure Mode and Effects AnalysisProblem solving skills  Technogym is an Equal Opportunities Employer
