The CCO will guide Film acquisitions and sales, with content sourced from independent studios.S/he will report to the CEO and the Producer of Marketing and Distribution providing critical support in setting strategy, deal negotiation, execution and management.S/he will develop and execute domestic and international content licensing strategy focused on independent documentaries and feature films, driving user delight and engagement. S/he will manage key vendor relationships and assess new business opportunities.S/he will provide the sales across all cable, satellite, and digital releases. S/he will play key role in ensuring revenue processes and product assumptions are determined (for accurate revenue forecasting in the regions), and that license fees are allocated fairly across titles. The candidate must have prior experience in a deep understanding of TV revenue accounting rules and a strong understanding of TV licensing contracts (including rights and pricing). The role requires a detail-oriented individual who is financially & technically savvy and proficient in excel.The ideal candidate has strong critical thinking skills, focused on details and the ability to be highly entrepreneurial in a structured environment. S/he will have a strong background in and comfort with quantitative analytics and deep relationships.The CCO should be comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, managing multiple projects, and working to find creative solutions with partners under tight time-frames. S/he is also a motivated, self-starter with a keen interest in and aptitude for finding great content from all over the world.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Develop and execute strategy for acquiring global rights to desirable Film programming, sourced from outside the major studiosDeliver growth of the annual sales budget year over yearOversee local programming for Italy through a deep knowledge of the production landscape - both the creators and the distributors and the ability to identify appealing films early in the life cycleIdentify and track upcoming films in pre-production and on the festival circuitMonitor films receiving buzz on crowdfunding platforms such as Kickstarter and IndiegogoDevelop co-production models to gain access to global content rights from producers and local studiosUtilize existing relationships with local and regional distributors to enable successful licensing of local contentBuild content pipeline around specific genres and verticalsParticipate in all aspects of negotiation (financial analysis and forecasting, contract drafting, security requirements, amendments)Represent acquisition interests across the company (operations, legal, finance, business intelligence/reporting, content marketing) on a regular basis and as needed on a project basisDevelop market expertise through continuous focus on and knowledge of the competitive and market environment -- locally, in specific markets, and globally, across all territoriesAssists with analyzing performance of Movieday's theatrical releases and competitive tentpoles by maintaining forecasting models before and during a release.Seek, negotiate and finalize license agreements of new releases and library titles, and aid in the strategic expansion of the Italian distribution businessCreate strong relationships with linear TV and digital clients; understand their needs; problem-solve requestsProvide input into overall distribution strategies including offering reliable market feedback on titles and viable commercial targetsNegotiate TV/digital windows in a way that allows Movieday to exploit content in numerous ancillary windowsBrainstorm catalogue lifecycle opportunities and assist in promoting seasonal library titlesKeep a constant, keen eye on competitive trends and activities within the digital and theatrical distribution industryUpdate the release schedule, sales grid, and other internal databasesAssist in the creation and maintenance of the Movieday's slate and sales presentationsSubmit invoices and follow up on paymentsBrainstorm catalogue lifecycle opportunities and assist in promoting seasonal library titlesDrive sales post-mortem analysisWork closely with various cross-departmental groupsPartner with the Finance team on forecasting and budget managementEducation & work experienceBachelor's Degree requiredExperience working in film, marketing, or sales environmentMinimum of 1+ years of TV & Digital sales experienceDirect knowledge of market-specific players and television programming of European territoriesGeneral knowledge of traditional and emerging content distribution platformsDemonstrated experience in market analysis, competitive analysis and strategic thinkingDemonstrated mastery of verbal and written communication skillsGreat analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and change direction frequentlyAbility to evaluate content on a creative basisAbility to manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger pictureDemonstrated ability to work cross functionally and across multiple geographies and time zonesExcellent project and time management skillsNumerate and able to provide clear financial reportsKnowledgeable at computer skills firstly ExcelFluency in Italian and EnglishWhat We OfferThe great challenge / opportunity to promote the socio-cultural development of local communities through the power of cinemaA neverending innovative, stimulating, constantly evolving work environmentGross Annual Salary depending on the experience.Different types of rewarding (cash and/or equity prize).The ambition to become the best company in which to work, which never stops to dreamWe thank everyone for their interest but only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.Contratto di lavoro: Tempo pieno, Tempo indeterminato
