Role Description

The
Quality and Test Engineer
will drive Blubrake's operational excellence by achieving sustainable and "best in class" product quality standards. You are motivated to take responsibility and  you are experienced in leading demanding projects. A broad competence in hydraulics, electromechanics, software will be beneficial as well as an international mind-set. We are looking for a hands-on engineer with a proven track record in industries with high quality standards.

Reporting to the
COO
, You will collaborate closely with R&D, Production Planning, Sales and Service as well as with suppliers and customers.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an engaged engineer who is:

• has a background in mechatronic product design in automotive, aerospace, biomedical or similar industries, with at least 5-10 years of experience in quality related functions
• competent in a broad scope of technologies, willing to further grow
• well structured in problem solving with good hands-on skills
• willing to take responsibility and standing for quality against conflicting targets
• able to lead cross functional and international projects
• willing to travel internationally even for several weeks per time, especially China/India
• able to work under pressure and tight timelines

Key Responsibilities

Supplier quality

• Supplier qualification and review process
• Lead the process of incoming goods control and monitoring
• Set up and monitor the manufacturing process related to quality
• Lead supplier corrective actions to keep and improve quality

Execution of product validation & certification

• Develop and perform validation plans, test cases, and protocols
• Capture and analyze test data, evaluate results against acceptance criteria.
• Author validation evidence for product release and ensure audit readiness.
• Familiar with product certifications to enter the market, with particular experience in functional safety, such as ISO 26262 or EN 13849.

Test machines characterization

• Able to assess test and assembly machine reliabilities
• Familiar with machine certification process

Field quality and customer complaints

• Collect failure data from service and warranty; maintain trend dashboards and KPIs.
• Coordinate containment actions; issue temporary engineering fixes
• Lead RCA for field failures, define corrective plans with engineering and suppliers,

Process controls, documentation and compliance

• Maintain control plans, work instructions, and test procedures
• Track Cpk/PPK, defect rates, OTD, and complaint trends; lead Kaizen process
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer-specific requirements

Requirements

• Ambitious individual who never settles and constantly strives to raise the bar
• Able to analyse data in a structured way and reasoning by QM principles.
• Deep engineering mindset, able to deep dive on problems to find the real root causes.
• Proven experience in Quality Management for mechatronic mass production products, quality control and testing (laboratory and field).
• Master degree in Engineering, dedicated education in quality tools and QM.
• International work experience and fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proven success as a project-leader of Q-projects (cross functional and international teams).
