Job Summary/Role description
- The Construction Estimating Head of Department reports to Construction Home Office Manager, He is of the Home Office team, with some trips for site surveys. Activities will be carried out during Proposal and Offer Phases and in some cases during Project execution.
Duties and responsibilities
- To prepare cost estimating relevant to subcontract costs, site management, supervision activities and site temporary facilities and running costs
- To support the construction cost estimate towards commercial department
- To issue final construction costs estimate
- To promote the development of construction estimating methodology
- To cooperate with Subcontracting to the Construction Subcontractors bids analysis and to the final subcontracts definition
- To attend the bid kick off meeting called by the Proposal Manager
- To keep updated all estimating tools and libraries
- To cooperate with Construction Engineers
Experience
- Relevant experience in EPC projects:
Refinery / Oil & Gas Facilities /Power Generation sector - Additional previous references in Revamping/Shootdown will be a plus
- 7 to 10 years of experience in the
Refinery / Oil & Gas Facilities /Power Generation sector - Multidiscipline works
Skills and Abilities
- Fluent English
- Good IT and analytical skills
- Capability of working on a multidiscipline works
- Team-oriented skills
- Self-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution
- Capability of travelling alone and to conduct short surveys and meetings with clients and subcontractors
- Able to manage all construction disciplines and technical documentation even in preliminary status
