Summary
Park Hyatt Milan is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead hotel operations and ensure the highest standards of service excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction.

Reporting directly to the General Manager , the Director of Operations oversees all key operational areas, including the Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, and Spa . The role plays a critical part in driving strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and team engagement, and acts as the General Manager's deputy when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the daily operations of Rooms, Food & Beverage, Spa, and back-of-house areas
  • Ensure exceptional standards of service, quality, hygiene, and safety throughout the hotel
  • Collaborate closely with Department Heads to implement operational strategies and objectives
  • Contribute to the hotel's strategic and business planning and define annual revenue targets
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control, payroll management, and productivity improvement initiatives
  • Identify and develop opportunities to drive revenue growth and operational performance
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and implement continuous improvement actions
  • Support recruitment, performance management, training, and talent development activities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and results-driven workplace culture
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, brand standards, and legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role (Director of Operations or equivalent) within luxury hospitality
  • Strong expertise in both Rooms and Food & Beverage operations
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on, strategic mindset
  • Solid financial acumen and experience managing budgets and KPIs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Italian is an advantage
