Your role

We are looking for a Global Inbound Logistics Manager, who will be responsible for mapping, managing and optimizing international inbound transportation flows of all components for production from suppliers to all mass production plants worldwide. The role aims to ensure cost-effective and high-service-level logistics operations, supporting the global supply chain strategy of EssilorLuxottica.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the global mapping of inbound flows to all mass production sites, all product categories.
  • Manage and optimize transportation flows from suppliers to factories.
  • Ensure cost efficiency and service level improvements across the inbound network.
  • Collaborate with external logistics partners (e.g., 4PL providers) and internal functions stakeholders (e.g. Supply Chain; Manufacturing; etc).
  • Support SAP deployment across production plants and align on inbound logistics processes accordingly working in collaboration with our IT team.
  • Monitor and manage a logistics budget estimated to exceed €70M annually.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure performance and cost and drive continuous improvement.
  • Apply project management methodologies to lead logistics initiatives.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in global transportation operations.
  • Drive process improvement and standardization across regions.

Main requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of global experience in international transport and inbound logistics, preferably in manufacturing supply flows.
  • Skills: Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with consignment stock, bonded warehouses, customs regulations and compliance.
  • Systems: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
  • Languages: Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus.
  • Certifications: PMP, Lean Six Sigma, APICS, IATA or similar certifications are considered a plus.
