Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Milan, for an Operations Manager - Italy at Freight Consol International. The Operations Manager will oversee and streamline logistics operations, supervise freight forwarding and shipment processes, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaborate with international teams for seamless coordination. The role also includes building relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction, improving operational efficiency, and optimizing supply chain processes. The individual will be accountable for achieving performance targets and will play a key role in supporting the company's regional and global logistics strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Freight Forwarding, Air & Sea Freight Consolidation, Overland Transport, and Customs Clearance processes
  • Knowledge of logistics operations, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring teams
  • Strong communication, client management, and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical skills for optimizing processes, performance metrics, and cost efficiency
  • Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory; additional languages are an advantage
  • Knowledge of industry certifications such as IATA
  • Proficiency in logistics and transport management software tools is preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar management role within the logistics industry in Europe is advantageous
