Job Description
Jyamma Games is looking for an experienced, talented Senior Technical Game Animator to join its team.
The ideal candidate works at the intersection of animation, rigging, and technical implementation.
They are the vital link connecting animators, programmers, and designers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Architect, build, and refine gameplay animation systems using Unreal Engine 5 features such as Animation Blueprints, Motion Matching, State Machines, and Control Rig.
Convert creative direction and technical objectives into clear animation system designs, well-defined tasks, and achievable scopes.
Work closely with design, animation, and engineering teams to ensure animation systems align with core mechanics and design goals.
Implement and polish character animations to ensure responsiveness, smooth transitions, and a strong gameplay experience in real-time scenarios.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced animation issues to maintain stability, performance, and visual fidelity.
Essential Skills, Attributes and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Computer science or Software engineering;
A minimum of 5 years experience in game programming;
Extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine and C++;
Experience working in a AAA studio
Shipped at least two AAA titles in the gaming industry
Experience working on ARPG titles
Knowledge of console porting and programming;
A deep understanding of video game production with the ease to see the perspectives of other game production disciplines.
Optional but welcome:
Mel/Python for developing animation tools or automating workflows.
Ability to work with motion capture data or produce keyframe animation in Maya.
Understanding of performance optimization strategies for complex animation systems in Unreal Engine.

This position offers the flexibility for individuals to choose their preferred mode: either onsite or remotely
This position suits both VAT Number (or similar) holders and people who can open it
Fixed-term contract, start as soon as possible
Remuneration based on experience
Mandatory fluency in English, both written and spoken.
