Why This Role Is Right for You
As a Mobile Apps Technical Lead, you'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Milan or Rome. Together, we design and deliver cutting-edge mobile payment solutions — from SoftPOS and Tap to Pay on iPhone to SmartPOS ecosystems — shaping the way millions of merchants and consumers experience digital payments.

About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:

• Define and own the mobile architecture across SoftPOS, Tap to Pay, and SmartPOS platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Guide the design and integration of SDKs (Apple/Google) into Nexi apps and partner solutions.
• Collaborate with product, backend, and security teams to ensure compliance with PCI, MPOC, and scheme regulations.
• Lead technical assessments of new frameworks, OS releases, and device capabilities to anticipate market evolution.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, setting coding standards, architectural patterns, and best practices.
• Oversee the end-to-end solution design, from mobile UI/UX flows to API orchestration and cloud integration.
• Act as a key contact for vendors, partners, and certification bodies, ensuring smooth technical collaboration and delivery.

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience in mobile architecture and development (iOS/Android), with deep understanding of payment apps.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Waterfall)
• Solid expertise in payment technologies: NFC, tokenization, SDK integration, SoftPOS/Tap to Pay.
• Strong background in security and compliance standards (PCI DSS, MPOC, GDPR).
• Hands-on knowledge of mobile frameworks (Swift, Kotlin, React Native/Flutter) and microservices integration.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across business and tech.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with SmartPOS or Android payment terminals (e.g., Newland, PAX, Ingenico).
• Familiarity with Kafka/Confluent, event-driven architectures, and backend orchestration.
• Prior work with large-scale international payment ecosystems.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices for mobile delivery.
