This assignment sits at the
early stage of a mainstream User Research Program
shaping future vehicle design and product development. The initial scope focuses on
European markets
, with a strong emphasis on
automotive aesthetics, performance perception, and user experience

The work will inform
early design directions
, providing strategic clarity and design-ready insights to support downstream concept development.

Role Purpose

As
Lead Design Strategist
, you will own and lead the
User Research Program
within a European design strategy environment. The role bridges
user insight, cultural understanding, and automotive design
, translating complex market and user data into
clear, actionable guidance
for designers and product teams.

You will act as the strategic anchor for research definition, execution, synthesis, and communication, ensuring outputs are
relevant, visual, and directly usable in early design phases
.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead
    qualitative and quantitative user research
    across defined European markets
  • Define
    research objectives, priorities, hypotheses, and key observation clusters
  • Design and develop
    research frameworks, questionnaires, and interview guides
  • Ensure strong focus on
    aesthetic language preferences, cultural cues, and UX expectations
    in automotive design
  • Translate insights into
    localization opportunity maps and strategic design directions
  • Synthesize complex findings into
    clear narratives, visual outputs, and design-ready material
  • Collaborate closely with design and strategy stakeholders to ensure research relevance and impact

Ideal Profile

  • 7+ years of experience
    in user research, design strategy, automotive and/or mobility programs
  • Strong background in
    qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Proven ability in
    strategic framing, insight synthesis, and analytical storytelling
  • High sensitivity to
    design, aesthetics, and user experience
    within an automotive context
  • Comfortable working in early, ambiguous phases of product and design development
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
