System Administrator
to join a
Security Operations team
based in
Ispra, Italy
.

The role involves managing and securing IT systems and networks, combining
daily operations
with participation in
strategic projects
related to cybersecurity and infrastructure management.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of IT systems and servers.
  • Implement and manage network security solutions (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
  • Handle vulnerability detection, incident response, and remediation processes.
  • Collaborate on infrastructure and security improvement projects.
  • Ensure system reliability, availability, and compliance with security standards.

Required skills and experience:

  • Expert knowledge of
    firewall technologies
    (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware NSX).
  • Proficiency in
    VPN standards
    (IPSec, SSL).
  • Experience with
    IDS/IPS
    and
    vulnerability management
    tools (Tenable Nessus, Tenable Security Center).
  • Strong background in
    Windows Server / Active Directory administration
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Web Application Firewalls
    (e.g., F5) and
    security monitoring tools
    (e.g., Splunk).
  • Good understanding of
    TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP
    , and
    multi-factor authentication systems
    .
