System Project Engineer

Job Description

Who will you be working with?

You will work for Annax, a Wabtec site specialized in passenger information systems for long and short distance trains, trams and subways.

You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work with an international team based in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.

How will you make a difference?

As a System Project Engineer you will combine your technical expertise with leadership skills.

What will your typical day look like?

• Design and engineering of Passenger Information Systems or Video Protection Systems, including the creation of relevant documentation.
• System requirements writing and Specification writing
• Technical project management from the bid phase to commissioning support.
• Project coordination with the commercial project manager and the customer.
• Internal coordination with hardware and software development, system integration, and testing teams.
• Coordination with key suppliers.

What do we want to know from you?

• Degree in electronic engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• +5 years of experience in similar role in a manufacturing company.
• Experience in hardware and/or software development.
• Knowledge of embedded hardware architectures and digital electronics.
• Familiarity with the embedded Linux environment.
• Understanding of IP/Ethernet networks.
• Fluency in Italian and English (proficiency in German is considered an asset).
• Self-motivated and independent personality.
• Strong leadership and proactivity.
• Dynamic and able to work with a multicultural team.
• Availability to travel internationally.
