Job Description:Senior Cost Controller is to monitor the project costs, analyzing variances against budget, and supporting Project Managers in the financial control of construction projects, ensuring profitability, reliable forecasts, and compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities and duties:

  • Budget Control & Optimization: Monitor and manage all open budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities through project revisions and efficiency improvements.
  • Financial Supervision: Ensure an efficient cost structure by collaborating with project managers, planners, and the finance department
  • Work-in-Progress Reconciliation: Align construction overviews with WIP and coordinate with accounting to maintain financial accuracy.
  • ERP System Management: Set up and maintain construction processes, including workflows, control mechanisms, and ongoing system optimization.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Create, update, monitor, and finalize construction budgets in the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company guidelines.
  • CAPEX Management: Review and approve capital CAPEX weekly, ensuring proper evaluations, retentions, and adherence to contract terms.
  • Cost & KPI Compliance: Assess building improvements based on costs and revenues, ensuring compliance with KPIs.
  • Risk & Performance Analysis: Conduct cost-value reconciliation to ensure budget adherence and proactively identify potential risks or discrepancies.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide detailed financial analyses of all construction budgets and revenues, delivering insights to management for strategic decision-making.
