Senior Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, collect data and prepare/update Project business plans, capex/cash flow budgets and forecasts, with attention to timing and respecting deadlines.
  • Report variances and analyze financial performance against the budget.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports, with attention to public incentives' reporting (PNRR compliance).
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Italian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS, other regulatory requirements.
  • Improve current company processes and ensure the collection and payment of the invoices generated by the company.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director in Italy and executive team to develop financial strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions.

Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3/4 years of proven experience as a Project Controller or in a similar senior finance role. Experience in Energy, Project Management or Engineering sectors and in public accounting are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Business Central) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
