Excursion Sales Specialist – International Cruise Ships

Location: Onboard international cruise ships (various global destinations)

Contract Type: Fixed-term (approx. 5 months ±1 month)

Start Date: Upon completion of onboarding and training

Working Hours: Full-time, shift-based (8–11 hours/day, including weekends)

Salary:

  • Monthly gross: €1,750
  • Bonus: €518
  • Total Monthly Gross (including TFR/13°/14°/Leave/Additional Leave): €2,268

Job Description:

As an Excursion Sales Specialist, you will promote and sell destination tours and excursions to guests onboard, assist during onshore activities, and ensure customer satisfaction and safety throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell and promote excursion packages aligned with revenue targets
  • Support guests during excursions, including logistics and coordination
  • Prepare tour materials (tickets, maps, stickers, etc.)
  • Report guest interests, requests, and feedback to the Tour Manager
  • Provide language assistance during excursions when needed
  • Monitor guest behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Assist injured or ill guests during excursions according to company procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma in Tourism, Languages, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Previous experience in Sales; experience in selling excursions, tours, or services is highly valued
  • Fluency in English and Italian (spoken and written)
  • Fluency in German OR strong sales experience (especially in excursions/services/tours)
  • Proficiency in a fourth language such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese is an asset
  • Confident using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proactive, with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Availability to live and work onboard for the full contract period
  • Willingness to complete mandatory STCW safety training (~10 days in passport country)

Employment Conditions:

  • Seasonal / Contract-based
