We are looking for our new Logistics Intern to join our local Logistics Operations team to support with distribution activities coordination. Our Italian Distribution Centre in Milan is in charge of the distribution all over Italy and local co-packing activities. Warehousing activity is subcontracted to logistic provider and transport is provided by external carriers. You will be introduced in the operating model between Log provider, Carrier, Log team and Commercial team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support activities between local customer service, logistic provider, and carriers

  • Ensure customer orders are prepared, shipped and delivered on time

  • Solve stock discrepancies on a daily basis

  • Proactively check stock in transit and related order cleaning

  • Create purchase orders to ensure the replenishment on time of locally sourced items

  • Follow up on consumables materials and coordinate purchase if needed

  • Understand copacking activities to support planner to find efficiencies and back up when needed:

    • Codes setting (BOM copacking, local items) by checking costs and masterdata fields

  • Participate in projects linked to activity optimization with focus to keep service level and cost under control

  • Understand the Italian distribution network and warehouse logics to identify potential optimization with LSP

Qualifications: 

  • University Degree in Engineering, Economics or similar

  • Fluent English is a must (written and spoken)

  • Computer skills – good knowledge of excel is a must

  • Good communication and organization skills

  • Analytical thinking and proactive mindset

  • Ability to collaborate with different departments and in a multicultural environment
