The INFN Perugia Section is seeking an
Experimental Astroparticle, High-Energy, or Nuclear Physicist
.
INFN–Perugia offers a
1-year research contract
, with the possibility of extension for up to
3 years
. An
on-site working arrangement
is required.
Requirements:
· PhD in Experimental Astroparticle Physics, High-Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear Engineering
· Advanced knowledge of
C/C++ programming languages
· Advanced knowledge of the
GEANT4
and
ROOT
toolkits
· Experience in
modelling, data analysis, and uncertainty quantification
for large scientific datasets
· Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in high-energy, astroparticle, or radiation physics data analysis.
· Good command of
written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in developing and validating models of space radiation environments and high-energy transient phenomena
· Experience in the
simulation, design, construction, and testing of particle detectors
· Experience with
data acquisition electronics
for radiation or particle detector systems
·
Residence in Umbria, Italy
