About the Role:
We are looking for an IT Solution Architect responsible for overseeing complex transformations within the INFRA&CLOUD area, coordinating efforts between various vendors and internal teams and supporting different transformation projects.

The candidate has a good knowledge of the systems and processes involved and is able to harmonize and translate different needs into a common direction, handling project plans and ensuring that short and long-term objectives and milestones are respected.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The IT Architect will be part of Corporate Data Center Operation, responsible for Operations and Projects of IT Infrastructure Architecture, to deploy new services for the core functions of the Company.
• Provide governance leadership for cross-functional teams in the design and execution of comprehensive data center transformation projects, overseeing supplier-operated data centers.
• Ensure that supplier activities are aligned with organizational objectives, contractual obligations, and industry best practices throughout all phases of transformation.
• The IT Architect will support the renewal of the company's information system infrastructure to accelerate its digital transformation, to strengthen the positioning in all Regions as a state-of-the-art reality in the adoption/implementation of infrastructures able to support automation/innovation/simplification of Iveco Group core processes.
• The role involves solving complex problems, escalating issues, maintaining documentation, and managing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and building the on-prem Infrastructure for new system setup and transformation projects.
• Demonstrate team leadership and proven hands-on experience on governance of Datacenter's LAN, Storage Area network, Virtualized environments (AIX/Linux/Windows) and complex infrastructure. ( preferred - Industry recognized IBM/Microsoft/Oracle/AWS certifications).
• Deep expertise in storage and server infrastructure, leveraging a strong background as a systems administrator to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with network engineers, other technical specialists to formulate end-to-end infrastructure solutions requests.
• Expert of a wide range of technologies—including Cisco, Palo Alto, Dell, IBM - across hybrid, on-premises, and cloud environments to meet diverse business needs.
• Advice and influence the suppliers in selecting and implementing optimal high availability, disaster recovery, and cyber incident recovery strategies, ensuring solutions were technically sound, delivered within agreed timelines, and aligned with cost objectives in complex enterprise environments.
• Ensure the best service level is provided to the users related to core applications by Continuously monitoring the level of service requested to main suppliers and intercept the capability to run improvement program.
• Perform operations stewardship providing consultancy on adoption of modern/standard solution to Applicative colleagues. Supporting cloud adoption or hybrid infrastructure.
• Act as primary focal point following Enterprise systems service disruption and understanding the nature of the issue engaging the right team depending on the issue (Infrastructure, Security, AMS)
• Oversee hardware refresh cycles, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements to maintain optimal performance and reliability of data center infrastructure.
• Assist in incident response for any problem
• Ensure and proactively manage system updates to guarantee alignment with the latest supported version
• Optimize the cost for value of each service and solution.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain architecture diagrams; lead DR/backups, restore, , power and cluster tests.
• Ensure best security practices to achieve stated business objectives, advise on risk assumptions for any variances granted and provide alternatives to achieve desired end results.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including health, safety, and security.
