We are looking for a
R&D Design Engineer
focused
on the development of PCB enclosure
to join our R&D Team based in Castel Maggiore (BO).

MISSION

Perform product design, mechanical drawing and three-dimensional models to guarantee the development of products in line with technical requirements, safety regulations and easy to assembly and to maintain.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mechanical design focused on PCB enclosures, with strong emphasis on material selection and application.
  • Support in defining technologies and resources for product development by analyzing technical feasibility and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Value Analysis, Manufacturing, and Purchasing departments to support commercial offers and feasibility studies.
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings, ensuring ease of assembly, logistics, and maintenance in electronic products.
  • Carry out technical calculation of the mechanical products designed: heatsink, housing, aesthetic plastic part, in different technologies like mold, CNC, 3D-printing or others
  • Identify critical features and potential weaknesses through failure mode analysis (FMEA).
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with global quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master Degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably focused on electronic/PCB enclosure design.
  • Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of materials and their applications in electronic housings.
  • Ability to work independently on mechanical design projects.
  • Good command of English.
