Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly reliable House Manager to support a welcoming family of four, including two teenage children aged 14 and 16, based in the heart of Milan, Italy. The family resides in an impressive 500-square-metre private residence with four bedrooms, located in one of Milan's well-connected residential areas, renowned for its elegant architecture, vibrant culture, and excellent amenities. Milan offers outstanding public transport links, refined dining, and a dynamic lifestyle, making this a rewarding and stimulating environment for a professional House Manager with strong managerial experience, clear communication skills, and a dependable approach.

Working as a professional House Manager in a private family environment requires a calm, organised, and solutions-focused mindset. This role involves overseeing the smooth day-to-day running of the main Milan residence, with the potential to become involved in managing an additional family property in Tuscany over time. The successful candidate will coordinate and supervise household staff, ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards, manage budgets, liaise with contractors, and provide hands-on support to the household team when required. Working Days: Five weekdays, plus morning hours on Saturdays and Sundays

Main duties of the Full-Time House Manager:

• Managing the day-to-day operations of a 500-square-metre private residence to an exceptionally high standard.
  
• Coordinating, supervising, and supporting household staff, including a live-in housekeeper cook, governess, and chauffeur.
  
• Overseeing staff schedules, performance, and communication to ensure efficient household operations.
  
• Managing and monitoring the household budget, expenses, and suppliers.
  
• Liaising with, sourcing, and coordinating external contractors and service providers.
  
• Overseeing maintenance works and ensuring property is well-maintained at all times.
  
• Assisting or stepping in to support the housekeeper or chauffeur when required.
  
• Potentially becoming involved in the management of a secondary family property in Tuscany.
  
• Maintaining clear communication with the principals and providing regular updates as needed.
  
• Ensuring discretion, reliability, and professionalism at all times.
  

Requirements for this Full-Time House Manager job:

• Three or more years of private house manager experience
  
• Two excellent checkable references
  
• Conversational Italian and English
  
• EU working permit
