BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. Every day, WFP works worldwide to ensure that no child goes to bed hungry and that the poorest and most vulnerable, particularly women and children, can access the nutritious food they need.
The HR Technology and Analytics Branch - HRMOI is responsible for on-going support to critical HR operational processes through the appropriate provision and application of information, processes and enabling technologies. It is also responsible for the developing of the HR Division Technology strategy and roadmap that will support integrated talent management processes, enable full visibility into our global workforce by deploying a technology solution that integrates people processes, data and intelligence from corporate and satellite systems and databases, and will provide workforce analytics and tools to support evidence-based decision making across people-related processes (in particular workforce planning, recruitment, reassignment and deployment to emergencies).
The Branch consists of three teams:
(1) HR Technology Deployment;
(2) HR Systems Administration and Support;
(3) HR Reporting & Analytics.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Team Leader of HR Systems Administration and Support, the HR Business Analyst Core/Time & Benefits will be responsible for the following key duties:
1.
Provide subject matter expertise on HR information systems and processes;
2.
Review business processes and propose innovative and streamlined revisions to simplify them;
3.
Prepare business requirements relating to the development of HR Management Information Systems;
4.
Contribute to preparation of internal guidelines/training on system related changes;
5.
Act as a focal point to IT in the development of business cases and project plans required to implement new or enhanced functionalities in HR;
6.
Analyze system errors and liaise with IT to seek solutions, identify workarounds and provide guidance to users worldwide on the system functionality and use;
7.
Test and validate the IT solutions before these are implemented;
8.
Prepare test plan covering all relevant business processes, participate in the testing and validation of the testing, and coordinate the successful completion within the deadlines;
9.
Analyze revised/new HR policies and determine the impact on the HR systems.
10.
Maintain relationship with and provide operational input to relevant internal and external counterparts.

Act as lead in the areas of Time and Benefits and Certificates by collecting detailed requirements and configuring the Workday platform
12.
Ensure that Time and Benefits team is upskilled on Workday functionalities
13.
Coordinate support on Time and Benefits requests
14.
Collaborate with other sub-stream leads on HR systems changes
15.
Perform any other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Information Technology or Business Administration.
Experience:
6 to 10 years of postgraduate relevant experience in Human Resources with preferably experience in an international context;
Experience in conducting business analysis, data analysis and preparing business requirements for system development, in performing testing and system deployment;
Experience in designing business processes and using modelling tools.
Experience in configuring systems
Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise in functional analysis, configuration, testing and training;
Ability to work and deliver results within a highly complex organizational environment (i.e. with diverse team, matrix structure, highly evolving operational context and staff working hardship locations);
Advanced use of Microsoft Excel;
Knowledge of Workday HCM and SAP for NPOs
Analytical mind and business acumen & strong mathematical skills;
Problem-solving aptitude;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Knowledge of HR data, time dependent data and workforce analytics an asset.
Languages:
Fluency in oral and written English with an intermediate knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) or Portuguese (one of WFP's working languages).
