Co-curricular Instrumental Music Assistant

St George's is seeking a Co-curricular Instrumental Music Assistant to support the instrumental music lessons that are part of the school's CCA Programme (Co-curricular Activities). The role will work alongside leaders of the CCA programme, particularly with the Director of Music in building relationships to maximise student interest.

Duties and Responsibilities

■ Coordinate and sort instrumental applications, compiling registers of lessons, timetabling/registers of lessons in liaison with teachers, parents and Heads, processing and distributing instrumental reports for students.

■ Liaise with HR to finalise VIT contracts

■ Liaise with Accounts Dept for invoicing of lessons delivered

■ Liaise with CCS in relation to the instrumental programme

■ Liaise with parents, students and staff for the organisation of the programme

■ Assist in the recruitment of music teachers (VIT's)

■ Assist with meetings with VIT's and the Director of Music

■ Assist with instrumental recitals, school concerts including Music Tour

■ Facilitate ABRSM exam entries for St George's students and the results

■ Conduct inventory of musical instruments, renting and their maintenance (repair)

■ Handle specialised printing for music related activities, exams, certificates

Professional

■ Promote pride in the school among the pupil body through high standards of dress, behaviour and commitment

■ Ensure that all communication is acted upon appropriately and in a timely manner

■ Attend Parents' Evenings, Assemblies and other school events during term time as the Head of School/Principal may, from time to time, require

■ Be responsible for all school resources, particularly those in your care, reporting damage or loss to the appropriate authority within the school

■ Contribute to the virtual learning environment, the website, social media and publications in support of your work

■ Contribute to the school's Self Evaluation and Strategic Plan

■ Foster a close partnership with parents, initiating contact in appropriate circumstances and ensuring that there is a record of this

■ Carry out any reasonable professional request made by the Principal or Head of School Personal Skills

Conditional Off er of Appointment
