Job Description

We are seeking a EHS Manager to join our team in Italy on a freelancer basis. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex projects in the Data Centre sector and thrive in an international environment. This is a site based project role

The EHS Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety.
• Prepare, implement, and monitor construction the project EHS plan.
• Lead of safety meetings with Client & Trades.
• Supervise client's project EHS oversight resources, including outsource EHS competent persons.
• Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans.
• Review and comment on High Risk Activities.
• Champion safety initiatives and support the Clients safety campaigns.
• Apply lessons learnt and best practice.
• Lead of investigations and root cause.
• Provide Safety support & guidance.
• Ensure the Clients safety requirements and local codes are met.
• Ensure synergy with the 'Safety Programme' led by Turner & Townsend.

Qualifications

• Suitable candidates are likely to have several years' experience in EHS lead Management positions.
• Demonstrable experience in working on large scale, complex projects - Data Center experience is preferred but not a requirement.
• Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments.
• Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
• Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
• Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and comfortable with being client facing.
• Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment.
• Availability for on-site work - 5 days a week.
• Business-level proficiency in English and Italian.
