SENIOR INDUSTRIALIZATION MANAGER – SPRAY DRYING

FIS is seeking a
strategic, senior-level professional
for its headquarters in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) to lead
technology transfer, scale-up, and process optimization of spray drying processes
for complex APIs and pharmaceutical semi-formulations.

The role serves as a global technical reference, bridging R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and international customers, while ensuring operational excellence in full compliance with cGMP standards.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership and Strategic Management

• Global Point of Reference:
  Acts as a strategic interface for Engineering, Manufacturing, and international Key Clients, ensuring operational excellence in full compliance with cGMP standards.
• Innovation and Project Management:
  Contributes to the evaluation of technology upgrade projects and the development of new manufacturing assets, overseeing the entire lifecycle of new spray dryer installations from concept through commissioning.
• M&A and Technical Due Diligence:
  Actively supports the company's growth strategy by performing technical screening of target manufacturing sites and evaluating potential acquisitions through global technology due diligence activities.
• Networking and Advanced R&D:
  Collaborates with international experts in engineering, thermodynamics, and theoretical modeling to optimize spray drying processes, driving the adoption of state-of-the-art solutions.
• Technology Transfer and Partnerships:
  Manages relationships with technical teams of major international customers and scouts emerging technologies in the market to integrate industry's best practices into internal processes.
• Scale-Up and Technology Transfer:
  Leads the transition of processes from R&D to commercial manufacturing, ensuring efficiency and quality. Develops methodologies to effectively transfer commercial processes across similar spray dryer units.
• Process Optimization
  : Defines and executes action plans to develop new spray drying processes in close collaboration with leading global Big Pharma clients, working on some of the most innovative and advanced pharmaceutical categories worldwide.
• Advanced Modeling:
  Applies Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) approaches and particle dynamics models to simulate and optimize droplet behavior within spray dryers. Works closely with R&D teams to scale processes from small-scale development to industrial production.

CANDIDATE'S PROFILE

• Master's Degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific disciplines, combined with solid experience in the field.
• Technical and Strategic Expertise:
  Proven experience in senior management roles with a strong and specific focus on spray drying technology.
• Project & Operations Management:
  Demonstrated ability to lead complex R&D and industrialization projects, optimizing timelines, costs, and resources during scale-up.
• Leadership and People Management:
  Strong capability to lead cross-functional teams and promote innovation and continuous improvement.
• International Mindset:
  Full professional
  proficiency in English
  for global stakeholder management and technical negotiations;
  fluent Italian
  required for effective interaction with local technical teams.
• Business Acumen:
