OverviewJob ID: ******* | Amazon Data Services, Inc.Join our dynamic team and become a critical guardian of technological infrastructure.As a Data Center Engineering Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining mission-critical technology infrastructure to ensure seamless operations that power global digital experiences and uptime.AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continual access to our customers' cloud-based services.You'll work with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to uphold safety, security, and efficiency at scale.Note: This role may require travel between data center locations and may involve on-call rotations and shifts up to 12 hours, depending on site needs.ResponsibilitiesDaily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment to ensure 24/7 reliability and availabilityMonitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAsPerform rack installations and decommissioning within internal SLAsPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipmentPrepare technical documentation to support change managementMonitor daily work requests, manage to resolution, and execute projects from conception to completionProvide on-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring work complies with established practices, procedures, and local legislationTravel between sites as needed and support multiple locations as requiredQualificationsBasic Qualifications:2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience2+ years of electrical or mechanical experienceAbility to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekendsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in a data center or mission-critical facilityAssociate or higher education in a related fieldExperience reading and writing procedures, technical documents, and engineering drawingsCompensation & BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is listed below.Your package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.AWS offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, and more.Learn more about benefits at OpportunityAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.If you require a workplace accommodation during the application and hiring process, please visit for more information.NoteThis role supports data centers in various operational stages and may require training travel to established locations before a designated site is fully operational.PostedPosted dates and related information are provided for context and may be updated over time.#J-*****-Ljbffr
