About The RoleEnvironment, Health and Safety excellence is a key focus area at RS Group.Our accident and incident reduction strategy is working but more focus is needed to achieve our aim of Target Zero.With zero impacts to the environment and our people.The Regional HSE Manager EMEA will lead Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) activities, provide expertise on EH&S within the EMEA region and to actively support the operational EH&S team with all relevant guidance and technical advice required.They will drive, support, challenge and inform the wider management teams, to inspire and motivate them to attain higher levels of safety performance and compliance with relevant legislation.They need to review current and past performance to identify concerns / opportunities for improvement and to coach this approach into the departmental teams.They are required to work together with all department heads and regional leadership to reinforce a highly engaged and inclusive, environment and health & safety culture.They actively support the Senior VP Supply Chain EMEA in the drive for high performance environment, health and safety across all EMEA locations, through the delivery of strategic goals and improvements, developed in line with the Global EH&S strategy.ResponsibilitiesProactively engage with and influence the management and local EH&S teams, to drive safety and occupational health improvements.Actively guide the local EH&S teams to deliver a first class EH&S service to their customers.Plan and coordinate proactive Health and Safety support activities across the region, ensuring these align with and support local Safety Improvement Plans.Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards, policy and legislation across all distribution centres and warehouses within the region.Ensure that Operations Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work are "suitable and sufficient" and kept up to date.Support the development of ISO ***** and ISO ***** certification by ensuring the management systems are regularly reviewed and updated.Provide via local EH&S teams, an efficient day-to-day environmental, health and safety service giving practical, technical advice, guidance, and clarity to internal customers.Work with local teams to implement all relevant Global EHS Standards and Policies.Provide ongoing development of Environment, Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidance in line with statutory requirements and current best practice.Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and statutory reporting requirements are met.Provide regular performance updates to the Senior VP Supply Chain EMEA for EH&S information from across the region.Including coordinating EMEA EH&S information for the QBR process.Review, analyse and present EH&S performance data, to inform and influence the actions / plans for the wider teams.Lead and support investigations into significant incidents to determine the root cause(s) and remedial action planning.Conduct site inspections / audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.Role model the RS Values and drive engagement.Support wider initiatives and
