AtMETLEN Energy & Metals , we are catalysts for a sustainable future, positioned at the forefront of the energy transition while being a reference point for competitive green metallurgy at both the European and global levels.We are a global industrial and energy company operating across two highly interconnected and complementary sectors:Energy and Metals .With a consolidated turnover of €5,683 million and an EBITDA of €1,080 million, along with a workforce of over 7,627 dedicated individuals, we drive success through cutting-edge technology and diverse talent.We are committed to embracing new state-of-the-art technologies and advancements, propelling us towards a cleaner, brighter tomorrow.Our positive footprint extends across five continents, creating a lasting impact.At METLEN, we foster a culture ofresilience, challenge, respect, excellence,and change , empowering our diverse workforce to achieve remarkable outcomes.Job DescriptionWe are currently looking for aProject Financial Controllerto join our M Renewables team inMilan , part of our Italian subsidiary.The main mission of the Project Financial Controller is to be the key control of all financial aspects of the project.Main responsibilities include project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesWork side-by-side with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on project teams.Follow up on projects' budget and report on their financial performance and progress.Review all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Prepare revenue projections and forecast overhead expenditure as needed.Assist the Finance Manager and Controllers with preparing and monitoring budgets.Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.Assist the Finance Manager with annual audit activities.Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns under the supervision of the Finance Manager and the external tax advisor.Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting systems (SAP, Teamsystem Studio), programs, and procedures.Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff (2 Accountants and external accounting & tax service providers) as required.QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting or finance.2+ years of accounting experience.Good working knowledge of tax laws and both OIC (ITA GAAP) – particularly OIC 23 – and IAS/IFRS, including IFRS 15, IAS 7, IAS 16, IAS 21, IAS 23, IAS 24, IAS 38, IFRS 9.Strong accounting and tax skills (VAT, withholding tax, CIT, etc.).Excellent financial analysis skills (management accounting).Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Strong organizational and stress-management skills – respecting deadlines for tax compliance and reporting calendars in accordance with IAS/IFRS.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Good knowledge of SAP and Teamsystem Studio.Ability to manage junior team members and collaborate with controllers and project managers to collect proper information and documentation.Fluent in English (written and verbal).BenefitsAttractive remuneration package.Friendly and professional working environment.Continuous training.Cooperation, creativity and innovation – flexible cooperation models to achieve fast results and increase productivity.Follow us on LinkedIn and stay updated on our latest news.We respect your personal data.All personal information in your application and CV will remain strictly confidential.AtMetlen Energy & Metalswe are proud to have Diversity and Inclusion at the centre of everything we do.We are committed to Equal Employment Opportunity regardless of race, colour, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.**** Metlen Energy & Metals S.A.
