Position Summary At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.DutiesPerforming minor, major and emergency repairs of all buildings and equipmentPerforming preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical and electrical equipmentInspecting belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, greasing bearings, seals, etcCalibrating and repairing pneumatic systemsMonitoring and analysis of water purification systemCompleting daily, weekly and monthly checklists on equipment maintenance procedures and maintaining records of scheduled maintenance proceduresAsking quotes of supplies and replacement parts upon needSupervising external suppliersEducation / DegreeHigh School Diploma or GEDRequired Experience3 years of experience in building, mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experienceGood manual skills and ability to use electrical toolsAbility to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the functioning of machinesUnderstanding of hydraulic systemsUnderstanding of circuit diagramsAbility to clarify general maintenance requirements and simple procedures of different kinds of equipmentAbility to lift up to 25kgThis position requires knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties involved, including regular communications outside the province of Quebec, training, email communications, and frequent meetings and interactions with English-only employees.The employer has taken all reasonable steps to avoid imposing this language requirement, in accordance with the Charter of the French Language.STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.WE HELP OUR CUSTOMERS CREATE A HEALTHIER AND SAFER WORLD by providing innovative healthcare and life sciences products and services around the globe.For more information, visit .STERIS strives to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.#J-*****-Ljbffr
