teams meet 2–4 times per year in person at various locations to align on strategy and execution.This role is for a professionally qualified accounting leader with expertise in NetSuite to build scalable, automated processes in NetSuite, Salesforce and other connected business systems.The lead will work across product management, legal, FP&A, sales operations and commercial business systems to ensure that revenue recognition and accounting treatment are clear and correct with a high level of automation.Ideally this person will have a deep interest in software and technology, with some data analytics and software engineering experience.The Systems & Controls Accountant will ensure proper application of revenue accounting guidance for public market scrutiny and will work effectively with technical teams and software engineers.This is a driving position requiring confidence in presentation, goal setting, and directing others.We anticipate growing a team with emphasis on systems and automation to enhance reporting speed, clarity, correctness, transparency and efficiency as a global tech company.Location:This role is home-based in EMEA time zones, with the option to be based in our London office.It reports to our Global Head of Accounting.Key responsibilitiesLead complex NetSuite configuration, workflows, customization, and integrationImplement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance within NetSuite and connected systemsDemonstrate proficiency in script understanding and problem resolutionDevelop and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to provide insights into business performanceCoordinate regular system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliabilityProvide training and support to end-users to enhance efficiency with NetSuiteOversee Sandbox accounts for development and testing, ensuring seamless deployment of customizationsStay updated on new NetSuite features and functionalities, assessing their potential impact on business processesDrive process and systems improvements across teams for end-to-end automation of the full financial life cycleIncorporate industry best practices and emerging technology to improve reporting speed and accuracyMentor and aid in developing the wider team of accounting and finance professionalsDevelop and maintain internal controls for revenue transactions and reportingResearch and write accounting memos on relevant policy mattersAct as primary liaison with external auditorsValued Skills and ExperienceStrong academic track record and an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance; or a compelling alternative pathCPA, CA or equivalent with excellent technical accounting skills and IFRS experienceUnderstanding of IFRS and rules related to SaaS and servicesLeadership or management experienceExperience with software licensing, subscription and services revenue accountingExperience scaling accounting processes in a high-growth environmentERP, Rev Rec, CRM, CPQ and related software (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred)Experience in multi-country, multi-currency operations and tax environmentsProfessional written and spoken English;
