OverviewHitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated VALIDATION ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples, Italy.AccountabilitiesAnalysis, verification and validation of requirements (functional and non-functional, architectural, software, hardware) allocated to the generic product level integrated in safety critical systems and applications;Design, implementation, execution and verification of software tests at various levels: SW unit/component; SW/SW integration; HW/SW integration;Design, implementation, execution and verification of functional and integration tests at subsystem and generic product level;Drafting of the documentary set relating to the overall set of V&V activities;Preparation and execution of test activities in laboratory environment and on systems in the real installation environment;Support for preliminary commissioning and integration activities;Verification/debugging of HW/SW anomalies/errors by means of logs analysisRequired skills and knowledgeAdvanced knowledge of C and C++ languagesAdvanced knowledge of embedded programming and Real Time environmentsAdvanced knowledge of SW Engineering Life CycleGood knowledge of Cenelec Standards ******, *****, *****)Knowledge and use of DOORS tool for requirements analysis and verificationKnowledge and use of RTC/EWM tool for configuration management and bug reporting and trackingKnowledge and use of RQM/ETM tool for test managementKnowledge of Microsoft Visual studioGood knowledge and use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)Knowledge of main laboratory measuring instrumentsAbility to understand a schematic diagramAbility to manage activity schedule and periodic reportingAbility to work in a multicultural international environmentEducation/QualificationsEducated to Bachelor in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical background.LanguagesGood English proficiency.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those under consideration will be contacted.
