Then come work with us and be part of MSC's familyWe are looking for an experiencedTest Leadwith a strong passion for ensuring the highest quality in software delivery and a commitment to continuously learning new testing techniques and business processes.The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a Testing Team in building high-quality, innovative, and fully functional software.The Test Lead may be responsible for the testing activities of one or several products, depending on organizational needs and project scope.The role involves overseeing the entire software testing process to guarantee its effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring that all deliverables meet business and technical requirements.This position requires strict adherence to the standards, processes, and best practices established at the company level by Global Test Governance.The Test Lead will collaborate with international stakeholders to define and align quality standards, harmonize testing practices across countries, and support consistent QA execution and continuous improvement at a global level, always ensuring compliance with the Global Test Governance framework.Main MissionEnsure, on your scope, the quality of IT deliverables (applications, systems, interfaces) by planning, organizing, and supervising all testing activities—functional and technical, to guarantee that products meet business and technical requirements before release.Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning and CoordinationApply theTest Strategydefined by the Testing Governance (objectives, scope, risks, resources).Develop theTest Plan, including schedule, scope, and deliverables.Allocateresources(team, tools, environments) for testing activities.Coordinate testing execution with development, integration, and production teams.Apply and monitorquality metrics(coverage rate, automation rate, defect rate, pass/fail ratio, etc.).Attend to the Testing Governance meetings.Test Management meetings.Test Design and ExecutionSupervise thedesign of test cases(functional, technical, performance, security).Ensure thattest environmentsare supplied with appropriate Data sets.Oversee or participate inmanual and automated test execution.Ensure fulltraceabilitybetween requirements, test cases, and defects.Ensure the proper use of Testing Tools.Defect and Quality ManagementEnsuredefect triage and prioritizationsessions.Coordinate with development teams and POs toanalyze and resolve defects.Validate fixes and ensure successfulretesting and regression testing.Guaranteeproduct stability and compliancewith specifications.Automation and Continuous ImprovementApply theTest Automation Strategy(tools, scripts, CI/CD integration).Select, configure, and maintaintest management and defect tracking tools.PromoteQA MSC's practicesacross the IT department.Mentor and train testers toimprove testing maturity and efficiency.Required SkillsTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge oftesting methodologies and frameworks(ISTQB, Agile Testing, Automation, etc.).Familiarity withCI/CD tools and environments(Azure DevOps, Git, etc.).Understanding ofsoftware architectures(desktop, web, mobile, API, etc.).Skilled intechnical documentation(test plans, test reports, traceability matrices, etc.).Soft SkillsStrong Leadership and team management abilities.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Detail-oriented, rigorous, and quality-focused.Analytical and problem-solving mindset.Internal and External RelationshipsInternal - IT Vice Presidents, IT Managers, Product Owners, Project Managers/Scrum Masters, Developers, Business Analyst/Product Analysist, QA Testers and Team Leaders, IT, Operations, Release, Support, Testing Governance, IT security team, etc.External -3rd party vendors.Recommended ProfileRequiredBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Quality Assurance.At least 3–5 years of experience in software testing, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.Multicultural and international work collaboration.Fluency in English (oral and written – Proficient level).Working in offshore mode with remote team members.Strongly recommendedTesting certification(ISTQB).QA Automation: Selenium, Playwright, WinAppDriver, Postman.Load and Stress Test: JMeter, Postman.Scrum methodology.What we offerWe offer a range of benefits including new Learning opportunities, a comprehensive Welfare System, Life and Health Insurance, Modern Workstation and Discounts within the MSC group.Moreover, MSC Technology Italy fosters a culture of innovation and wellbeing by simultaneously pursuing various initiatives.
