Hill's Sales Manager (SM)Who We AreColgate-Palmolive Company is a global consumer products company operating in over 200 countries, specialising in Oral Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Skin Care, and Pet Nutrition.Our products are trusted in more households than any other brand in the world, making us a household name.No Relocation Assistance OfferedJob Number # – Roma, Lazio, ItalyJob OverviewThe Sales Manager is responsible for growing Hill's business (sales, distribution, market share and Brand Recommended Most Often (BRMO)) in the assigned territory.The role manages both veterinary clinics and specialty pet retail stores, ensuring Hill's is the strategic partner of choice for these customers and securing support to grow Hill's business.ResponsibilitiesProduct Knowledge – develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition, Hill's and competitors' products through company training and self-study.Territory Management – achieve territory sales targets by managing orders' collection through effective visits, handling commercial/financial aspects, and engaging all internal stakeholders.Review potential of accounts within the territory (every year).Identify new accounts and secure strong presence and endorsement for Hill's brands.Maintain accurate records in the Hill's reporting system.Leverage all company-available tools to drive execution (Product Distribution, detailing material, staff feeding, sampling, trial, etc.).Clinic / Store Business DevelopmentDevelop deep knowledge of customer business and organization; build a network with key decision makers and influencers in veterinary practices and specialty pet stores.Provide best-in-class professional support (detailing, in-clinic/store seminars, technical training, merchandising) to all key stakeholders.Identify opportunities and develop technical and business propositions that meet the needs of both Hill's and the customer, resulting in BRMO leadership.Manage multi-store customers and specific needs.Ensure awareness, full distribution, and active endorsement by the veterinary profession and store staff.Rapid acceptance, endorsement, and distribution of new products; establish shelf space and adequate inventory within each store.Monitor achievement of territory objectives vs target and develop strategies to address changes in the business environment.Represent Hill's at meetings/conferences (trade shows, local and national meetings, client meetings, clinic/store special events).QualificationsMaster's degree in Veterinary, Animal Science or equivalent.Previous sales experience of at least 2–3 years (nutrition company, veterinary industry or pharmaceutical company).Skills and CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).Strong selling skills – ability to persuade, negotiate and finalize agreements.Customer orientation/problem-solving attitude.Excellent time-management, planning/priority setting, and budget management skills.Proficient computer skills and ability to learn company-specific tools and programs.Fluency in Italian and good English.Valid driver's license.Working RelationshipsNo direct reports.Reports to Field Sales Manager.Works closely with Commercial Teams including Marketing and Professional Veterinary Affairs.LocationRoma, ItalyVisa NOT SPONSOREDOur Commitment to InclusionOur journey begins with our people—developing strong talent with diverse backgrounds and perspectives to best serve our consumers around the world and fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging.We are dedicated to ensuring that each individual can be their authentic self, is treated with respect, and is empowered by leadership to contribute meaningfully to our business.Equal Opportunity EmployerColgate is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, disability, marital status, veteran status (United States positions), or any other characteristic protected by law.Reasonable accommodation during the application process is available for persons with disabilities.Please complete the request form should you require accommodation.#J-*****-Ljbffr
