FlyingBasket is an innovative Start-Up, specialized in the production of multicopter drones suitable for commercial use such as cargo transportation, heavy lifting operations, power line inspections and various other applications.Since its inception, FlyingBasket has become the benchmark in the commercial cargo drone industry.As we scale production, we're looking for aManufacturing Engineerto take our in-house manufacturing to the next level—from small scale manufacturing to industrial series production.If you're hands-on, tech-savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of drone manufacturing while improving efficiency, speed, and scalability.This position is bothchallenging and broad as it puts to test your ability to be part of the whole process of manufacturing.ResponsibilitiesOptimize and scale our production process from small batches to series manufacturing.Develop and improve manufacturing tools, jigs, and automation to streamline assembly and testing.Enhance supply chain processes—from sourcing components to ensuring smooth logistics and vendor management.Program and automateproduction-related tasks usingscripting and software tools.Collaborate closely withdesign, engineering, and operationsto ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.Improve quality control processes, ensuring that every drone meets safety and performance standards.Identify and implementLean Manufacturing principlesto reduce waste and improve throughput.Must Have3+ years of experiencein manufacturing industrialelectronic or electromechanical products.Proven ability toset up in-house manufacturing—from prototyping to series production.Hands-on experience with manufacturing tools, process automation, and optimization.Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, lead times, and logistics challenges.Knowledge of testing & quality assurance processesfor electronic/electromechanical systems.Experience in supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, and vendor coordination.Strong problem-solving mindset—able to quickly identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.Experience with programming & scripting.Work permit for Italy.Nice to haveExperience inaerospace, automotive, or drone industry.Expert in electronics & software engineering– ability to optimize designs for manufacturability.Familiarity withrobotic assembly, CNC machining, or additive manufacturing.Knowledge ofbattery systems, power electronics, or embedded systems.Experience withPLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.Experience with Odoo.Experience working in astartup or high-growth environment.What's great about the job?Be part of the leading cargo drone startup in Europe.Great team of smart people, in a friendly and open culture.Expand your knowledge of various fields in a fast-paced hands-on environment.Real responsibilities and challenges in a fast-evolving company.What We OfferEach team member has a chance to see the impact of her/his work.You will be encouraged to take initiative from day one and work on challenging and stimulating projects.Here you can make a real contribution to the success of the company by learning from and teaching your colleagues.FlyingBasket organizes team building activities throughout the year, including mountain hikes, sports activities, movie nights and much more.EmploymentA full-time position.Many possibilities for personal development.#J-*****-Ljbffr
