OverviewElectrical Hardware Development Engineer, Amazon Prime Air.Prime Air is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware and related Avionic and Communications systems for Prime Air Drones, including Satellite Communications, Cellular and RF Communications, and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).You will work with our Seattle-based team to deploy new hardware and Avionics architecture systems for Prime Air Drones and collaborate with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing and test.Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Placement is contingent on Amazon\'s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.ResponsibilitiesArchitecture and Hardware Designs, develops, Avionic compute and distributed system hardware (including lidar, radar, GNSS antennas, satcom and RF antennas).Design and test other analog/digital devices/components such as navigation hardware, communication hardware (satcom, RF, cellular), air DC-DC converts and protection circuitry.Perform electrical analyses, circuit and RF simulation and test, components sizing and selection, create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.Support engineering trades, estimates and interact with suppliers/partners on critical components and develop hardware from concept to mass production.Support developing hardware and component level requirements/specifications.Increase the engineering rigor behind designs, verification, and documentation.Perform prototype hardware and systems in labs.Perform formal verification testing including DO-160 and DO-254.Basic QualificationsExperience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.Bachelors degree or equivalent.5+ years HDE experience.Preferred QualificationsMaster's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.Experience with the project management of technical projects.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.The base salary range for this position is listed below.Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.Learn more about our benefits at .#J-*****-Ljbffr
