Would you like to join the leading international intergovernmental organization?This role is vital to the operational resilience of NATO's secure global communications.The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) delivers and defends the critical communications systems that enable the Alliance's command, control, and collective defence.The position provides essential support for the power infrastructure of NATO's Satellite Communication (SATCOM) stations, ensuring the continuous operation of mission-critical services for NATO operations and crisis response.The role addresses an immediate operational requirement.The reliability of power systems - including generators, distribution, HVAC, and site security - is fundamental to preventing service outages and maintaining readiness.Gaps in technical support risk compliance issues and compromise mission availability.ResponsibilitiesPrime Power and Generators: Maintain prime power systems (transformer vaults to distribution boards).Prime Power and Generators: Operate and maintain diesel-electric generators, ensuring fuel supply and availability.Prime Power and Generators: Provide compliance inspections in accordance with CEI ***** prescriptions.Prime Power and Generators: Operate and maintain UPS, batteries, and emergency lighting.Ancillary Systems: Perform preventive maintenance on cross-site cabling, grounding, lightning protection, radomes, EMP pneumatic doors, and hydraulic systems.Ancillary Systems: Provide basic maintenance of site security systems (gates, bollards, access infrastructure).Environmental Systems: Provide maintenance of HVAC, heating, air handling units, and fire protection systems.Environmental Systems: Collaborate with industry providers for contracted services under Site Engineer oversight.Support Activities: Maintain accurate service records in TT-Comms, ITSM, and site logbooks.Support Activities: Provide monthly status reports on maintenance, incidents, and improvements.Support Activities: Support Site Engineers in planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance activities.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field and 5 years of technical experience.Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in power systems maintenance, troubleshooting.Expertise in power distribution systems, UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) units, and generators.Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining equipment such as rectifiers, inverters, and RF amplifiers, with working knowledge of remote telemetry and control systems.Experience ensuring compliance with safety standards, preventive maintenance schedules, and technical documentation for classified or mission-critical operations.Familiarity with DoD power system standards, STIG compliance for infrastructure components, and audit support for operational readiness.Language Proficiency: English: C1 + Local assignment language fluency (desirable).If you've read the description and feel this role is a great match, we'd love to hear from youClick "Apply for this job" to be directed to a brief questionnaire.It should only take a few moments to complete, and we'll be in touch promptly if your experience aligns with our needs.#J-*****-Ljbffr
