The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) is seeking specialized advisory services to enhance our interim workforce capacity.Our agency is dedicated to acquiring, deploying, and defending communication systems for NATO's political decision-makers and Commands, operating on the frontlines against cyber-attacks in collaboration with governments and industry to maintain NATO's technological edge.Our NIMSC SATCOM Business Unit provides NATO and its partners with scalable, protected, secure, reliable, and integrated SATCOM services, focusing on NATO operations, crisis response, missions, exercises, and business continuity.We operate the NATO Satellite Communication (SATCOM) Ground Stations across multiple locations and support various satellite communication capabilities.Role Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstallation and configuration of all elements of satellite communication systems, including baseband, RF, antenna, monitor and control systems, and associated software.Updating and changing hardware and software configurations on all satellite station elements as required.Supporting local power technicians in installing and setting up power generation and distribution systems, HVAC, and ancillary systems.Maintaining and repairing active/passive SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary systems following specific guidelines.Conducting regular preventive maintenance tasks, including cleaning, greasing, measuring, and adjusting system components.Diagnosing and repairing issues with SATCOM, Power, HVAC, security, and ancillary systems, including replacing faulty components and updating software.Providing service delivery support, including stakeholder management, technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate records.Participating in daily reporting, planning activities, workshops, events, and conferences as required.RequirementsEssential Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience as a satellite technician or similar role.Good knowledge of electronic and RF measurement instruments, proficiency with hand and power tools.Excellent customer service and communication skills.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Desirable CertificationsPreferred certifications include CompTIA A+ or Network+.EducationHigh school diploma or degree in electronics or related network/communication field; 10 years of relevant experience may substitute.Working PolicyOn-site work with specific working hours and potential rotating shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.TravelSome travel to other NATO sites may be required.Security ClearanceValid National or NATO Secret personal security clearance required.We encourage you to apply even if this opportunity isn't a perfect match, as we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team.#J-*****-Ljbffr
